First I would like to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, and Safe new year.
We ended the year with a very successful in person meeting with a great topic, speaker, and group participation. It was one of the biggest groups we have had in a long time. I’m glad we had the facility to have it in and found almost enough chairs for every one. Your Chapter Board and I appreciate all of your support, especially in these challenging times.
With the emphasis on the Healthy and Safe part, we have decided it would be prudent to suspend our in person meetings, until such time as the latest wave of infections and the general pandemic get more under control. That said, I am still hoping to bring back some Pancake Breakfasts and possibly even Young Eagle events this year, assuming the situation and the weather allow. I’m sure not all of you may agree with this decision, but we see no point in creating the potential for an unsafe event that puts anyone at risk.
I would however, invite you to submit plans or ideas for future speakers to topics for our meetings and encourage any one interested in participating in events to step up and let us know what you’re thinking.
In the meantime - Stay warm, keep flying, and hope to see you all again soon.
